Jordan: Authorities Dismantle Counterfeit Cosmetics Workshop
May 04, 2026
Jordan Customs has shut down an unlicensed workshop operating from a residential apartment and used for the manufacture of counterfeit cosmetics.
The operation, carried out by the Anti-Smuggling Directorate, led to the seizure of counterfeit products, packaging materials, and raw ingredients of unknown origin that were allegedly prepared for distribution in the local market.
Authorities indicated that the premises failed to comply with basic health and safety requirements, raising concerns over potential risks to public health.
Jordan Customs confirmed that coordination is underway with the Jordan Food and Drug Administration (JFDA) to pursue the necessary legal measures against those involved.
