Saudi Arabia: Changes to Trademark Customs Recordal Procedures

The Kingdom of Saudi Arabia has introduced a formal mechanism for recording trademarks with the customs authorities through the TAHAQAQ (تحقق) platform, administered by the Saudi Authority for Intellectual Property (SAIP). This development replaces the previous notification-based practice with an officially regulated customs recordal framework, strengthening the protection of trademark rights at the country's ports of entry.
