UAE: A New Score for Music Copyright

The UAE Ministry of Economy and Tourism has introduced its first Collective Management Guide for Music, establishing a formal licensing framework for the commercial use of music across the country. Issued under Ministerial Resolution No. 136 of 2026, the guide sets out licensing criteria and provides a framework for the collection and distribution of payments associated with music copyright and related rights.
