The African Regional Intellectual Property Organization (ARIPO) launched a Patent Prosecution Highway (PPH) pilot program with the China National Intellectual Property Administration (CNIPA). This initiative aims to expedite patent examination processes by leveraging the existing work of both offices.
Under this collaboration, applicants can request accelerated processing of their patent applications if a corresponding application has already been found allowable in the partner office. This partnership is expected to enhance efficiency, reduce redundancy, and improve the quality of patent examinations.
