Dubai Launches New IP Hub to Empower Innovators

Dubai has unveiled the Dubai Intellectual Property Hub (DIPH), the UAE’s first centralized platform for managing intellectual property and intangible assets. This initiative aims to support entrepreneurs, artists, academics, and startups by providing the tools and resources needed to protect and commercialize their intellectual property.

The DIPH was launched during the “IP2024: Glimpse on the Future of IP” event at the Museum of the Future, marking a significant step forward in the UAE’s efforts to foster innovation and creativity. The platform integrates the Ministry of Economy’s intellectual asset registration feature, enhancing Dubai’s position as a global hub for technology and innovation.

The hub offers centralized support to innovators, creatives, and researchers in fields such as sustainability, health, education, and law. It aligns with the UAE’s “We the UAE 2031” vision, which seeks to position the country as a leading destination for talent and creativity. This integrated approach reflects a commitment to building a robust legislative and institutional framework to protect intellectual property, stimulate creativity, and support business growth in the new economy.

At the core of the DIPH’s mission is providing a seamless digital experience for IP registration, guidance on protection, and tools for the strategic development and commercial exploitation of intellectual property. Its user-friendly digital interface centralizes access to essential information, resources, and guidelines, making it an invaluable resource for those navigating Dubai’s IP landscape.

This initiative reinforces Dubai’s dedication to innovation, offering a comprehensive support system to empower creators and businesses while solidifying its role as a global leader in intellectual property management.
