The Iraqi Trademark Office has issued the first certificates of registration for trademarks that have been pending due to the Israeli Boycott. Although declaring compliance with the Israeli Boycott has usually favored the acceptance of applications in Iraq, some applications that disregarded the mention of the Boycott were being filed but left pending.
With this move, it is now possible to register trademarks in Iraq without declaring compliance with the Israeli Boycott and to obtain a certificate of registration. The Iraqi Trademark Office is now accepting Powers of Attorney and all applications are being processed.
