The Lebanese Intellectual Property Office (IPO) is currently facing significant operational challenges due to the ongoing situation in Lebanon. These challenges include employee absenteeism and technical issues with the online portal. As a result, the IPO has announced an extension of all deadlines that were set to expire starting from Monday, September 23, 2024, until further notice. All deadlines will be preserved during this period. While no official written memo has been issued, this extension has been verbally confirmed by the head of the IPO.
Despite the current disruptions, we want to assure our clients that Saba IP continues to accept applications internally. All applications will be promptly filed with the IPO as soon as operations resume.
