Reflecting the important role of Intellectual Property in UAE, the Judicial Council at the Abu Dhabi Judicial Department ADJD has approved the establishment of new departments specializing in the settlements of IP disputes. The establishment of new and specialized departments is part of the ADJD’s overall strategy for 2008-2013. The ADJD is actively working to maintain highly specialized judicial services to support the growth in development and human capital in the Emirate. The new IP Department will work to maintain a contemporary standard within the growing knowledge economy and work to promote innovation and creativity within Abu Dhabi by providing an efficient way to combat intellectual property violations.
