The World Customs Organization (WCO) and the Dubai Customs will organize the fourth global Congress on combating counterfeiting and piracy in Dubai from February 3 to 5, 2008. This Congress will also be convened by the Interpol, the World Intellectual Property Organization (WIPO), the International Chamber of Commerce (ICC), the International Trademark Association (INTA), and the International Security Management Association (ISMA).
The global Congress has become a key international conference for participants to develop successful strategies in order to meet the challenges posed by the worldwide trade in counterfeit and pirated goods. The fourth Congress is expected to bring together top government and private-sector representatives in order to share their experience and expertise, enhance international coordination and cooperation, and seek more effective solutions to combat this global epidemic called counterfeiting and piracy.
