Starting October 26, 2024, the Yemeni Trademark Office has increased the number of goods or services that can be included in a single trademark application from 4 to 10, reducing the need for multiple applications. Additionally, as of October 11, 2024, Yemen has adopted the 12th edition of the Nice Classification, reaffirming exclusions for Class 33 (alcoholic beverages), certain alcoholic items in Class 32, and pork meat in Class 29.

The Trademark Office has also introduced electronic filing for all accepted trademarks, recordals, oppositions, and counterstatements. Access to the new electronic system is limited to registered agents and service providers.
